Is it possible to have front turn signals and mirrors with signals wired together? Or would I need something else.

Depends. You shouldn't have any trouble if you wire them in parallel. That way if one of the bulbs go out the other will still work. If you wire them in series, not only will one bulb take out the other but they'll both be dimmer.
Not sure what wiring them in parallel will do to the flash rate. There will almost definitely be some difference but I'm not sure how much. You might need to go to a digital relay, like you use for an LED conversion. That way the flash rate won't depend on the resistance through the bulbs.
