So I'm trying to re-wire my kat there are a ton of broken wires that I have to patch and some are ok but not hooked up. I have bought a clymer manual read the wiring diagram and still have no idea where this 2" long red wire off the breaker hooks up. My starter has power but the switch does not work, my fuses have power my head light and horn work and that all the working electrical I can find. So basically I'm asking if its worth digging into or should I be looking for a new loom? Also if someone can tell me where this 2" long red wire off the breaker plugs in I'm thinking it's the alternator but I'm not 100% on it plus the diagram I have doesn't show this 3rd wire coming off the breaker so is this even the right loom for this bike? And let me thank you for reading this and any advise you can give. Jeff Toronto ON CA http://katriders.com/vb/images/smilies/023.gif

The circuit breaker is located in front of the battery box.
As I recall, the wire runs from the battery to the fuse panel? If your headlights are on... it's not a problem with the breaker.
Check into the wiring for the kill switch, clutch safety, and sidestand safety.-Steve

Yup it's attached to the battery box one wire runs to the fuse panel one runs to starter relay that one is ok but theres a 3rd hot wire. Which on the diagram runs to the alternator problem is that this wire is only 2 inches long with a male end on it and i have no female wires that aren't connected so something is missing right. Its not like a car theres no power options like heated seats or something right lol. I will defiantly Check the wiring for the kill switch, clutch safety, and sidestand safety thanks Steve.

Duh! You're right. There is an unused female bullet connector on a red (I think) wire near the starter. I'm using mine to power the cruise control.
