  • Help!

So today i was riding and mid-ride my horn, turn signals, brake light, gauges, and neutral light lost power. I checked the fuses and i found the one that was blown(left side closest to the battery). I replaced it and as soon as i turned the bike on it blew. It did this a couple more times and then i tried a bigger fuse. a 10A fuse was in there previously and now a 25A fuse is in there and everything works fine. Any idea whats going on and is it bad to go up in fuse sizes i heard its not a good idea. Thanks I appreciate any help.

TAKE OUT the 25a for starters. Something is pulling too much power or shorting out. Look for pinched wires or cracked wires rubbing on the fram somewhere. You are asking for trouble if you use the 25a.
    Must read for carb tuners......http://www.factorypro.com/tech/tech_...m_engines.html

You most certainly have a short, or a rubbed through wire contacting the frame somewhere.

All a bigger fuse is going to do is melt wires.

I'd suggest you pull the tank and start looking around for wear or rub marks.
