  • Has anybody put a cigarette lighter on their kat

Has anybody done this to their Kat?

I've got an older Gtech Performance meter and i'd like to test out the new specs for my katana and bandit since I put new engines in both.

i have two installed there is a single with fuse directly connected to the battery under the seat and a double extention which runs up to my triple tree. the wires follow the factory harness. I use the on longer trips for my XM, to charge my phone if needed and for my 12v air compressor.

Radio shack sells lighter pods too, along with a mounting plastic. They're $18, I think.
However, the shack also has cables and adaptors so you can wire directly to the fuse block or battery and not have to deal with an intermediate device. I had to do this once on a car I had back in the '80s. It was easy to do, and made much more sense than a cigarette lighter config.

I poured spot remover on my dog. Now he's gone.

had one for nearly the entire life of the bike. used it for running a bar-mounted CB radio for when I rode with my parents (they're Goldwingers). got rid of it over this last winter because i haven't used it i an age. was pretty useful though. that is when i had a use for it.
