Help slurping sound coming from my gas tank???????

Ok here is the deal. I took off the tank and recoated it with the kreme kit and put it back together. I took the fuel sender out and the petcock out. When putting it back together somehow I broke one of the pins on the gas cap. So I got a new gas cap. When I started the bike I am now getting a air leak sound or a slurping sound coming from the top of the tank where the gas cap is. ??????
Any Ideas????

There's a hole under the lid for a vent . You get something in there ? Maybe blow some air-in-a-can through that .
