its been hard to start in the past after riding
and bike has sat for a little while. i removed the fuel pump and cleaned the filter which had a bunch of fuzzy stuff on it blocking the fuel inlet i cleaned it out and checked that the fuel pump worked while i had it out and it does the bike turns over but still wont start i bought it used with 1100 miles on it i currently have about 21000 i've never had any problems or had any codes come up. i cant figure out why it doesn't want to start

Wrong site. This site is for the GSXF which are carbed. You may get some replies from GIXXER owners though. You should be here http://www.gsxr.com

If the fuel pump is priming, is the fuel making it to the cylinders in a sufficient quantity? If not, you may want to check out the rest of the fueling system leading up to that point.

Is there spark? Are the plugs in serviceable condition?

Are there any safety mechanisms present on a gsxr that interrupt either fuel or ignition delivery?
