apparently I need new carbs

At least according to the shop that has my bike the tank had rust and that's why it wouldn't start but I'm just curious if anyone on here has some for a 96 Kat 600

Highly unlikely that you're needing NEW carbs.
Only if they were damaged in a wreck or something.
If they're dirty, read the Carb 101 page or contact Arsenic.

They were dirty but from what he is saying the internals are loose and my carbs are no good I'm wondering if it had a heavy jet kit and they went back to stock

I'd really need to see that, considering it all comes out...unless it's all stripped out and no longer holds the parts in. PM Arsenic for carbs, remanucturered by him.

Maybe that's what he was saying I haven't been to see it yet he is looking for a used set of carbs for me I was just wondering I actually may be buying a parts bike as well so we will see

I have a set, they aren't finished yet, but I have all the new parts, I can have them rebuilt by the end of next week.
