+1 Stumbled upon this last weekend. At a stop light and behind a van I could that I had no headlights, neither. I checked a couple things but saw this thread today and that was it. The start button was not releasing completely.

What timing! I just discovered the clock, then no dashlights problem on my '02 600 yesterday, although it wasn't dropped.
