Removing top plate/ handlebars

So just about to fit my riser kit. Clip ons are removed, i goto start removing the 4 bolts that hold the top plate on and on the first nut it turns but the whole bolt turns too!
Am i stuck? Is there a way of grabbing the bolt from the top plate?


The 4 heads that can be seen here. They're not covers are they with a head underneath?

so they are just covers with allen key head underneath!

Yes, those are just plastic caps. Remove them to access the hex cap bolt below.

do you know the torq spec for when i reassemble the bolts?

Not sure off the top of my head, I have then printed out at home.
