gsx750f running problems

  • gsx750f running problems

    Hello everyone im a newbie so excuse me if this is in the wrong place got a bit of a problem with my 1989 gsx750f basically its a pain to start but when it is started it is running on two cylinder two exhausts get hot an two dont ive cleaned out the carbs but noticed one of the float bowls was completely dry also changed the spark plugs but still no luck just wondering if someone could shed some light on the problem many thanks

      Head to the wiki - read over and do carbs 101
      1998 Katana 750
      1992 Katana 1100
      2006 Ninja 250

          Also, make sure you have the coils hooked up correctly, done that wrong once and it only ran on 2 cylinders.
          1998 Katana 750

            What is the correct way that the coils are hooked up and i will check them

                You did mention that one of the float bowls was dry.. So ya it's a fueling issue.

                        Yeah, but if you don't include that then he will take it to a local shop for a "professional" cleaning....or is that clean out (as in your wallet).

                              It could be done....if you follow just Carbs 101, are extremely motivated, have every tool you need on hand and laid out and don't have any problems or break anything at all along the way.

                              Now to do it right....



                              -----Side note: Last time I checked Carbs 101 it makes no mention of soaking the carbs, just fishing line/carb tools and spray cleaners. Perhaps someone should/could make a revision?
