Alright, so typically these bikes take 10W-40 oil according to the manual, but reading up on the subject tells me that in hot temps, 20W-50 will be just fine. I was browsing local auto parts stores, and came across a deal on motorcycle oil - $2 off per bottle for a limited time. What I also noticed is that this specific oil was on clearance for $5 instead of the usual 10. According to the sign, the $2 off only was for oil $5.99 - $10.99 (the typical prices for their oil selection). However, when I went to ring them up, the discounts stacked. So I got 10 quarts of full synthetic for a grand total of $30.
Anyways, I'll be putting this stuff in after a few days of run time on the current oil to clean the system after the rebuild.
