  • 1988 kat with 1998+ carbs

    Hi,

another problem there...I got a 1988 kat with a 1998 carb. The thing is that it seems my carb only has one fuel line..my petcock has 2.Is it possible?..If i use a brass T with tubes...I think ill loose too much succion and my bike will have hard times feeding itself in gas.

It's possible, but the 88-89 600 only has 1 fuel line also. You're petcock is either a 89-97 750 or 90-97 600, that has 2. Don't just T the two lines, use a 98-06 600 or 750 petcock. It'll go on the tank just fine and it only has 1 fuel output.

No, buy a 98-06 petcock. Two screws bro, two screws.

I bought it...now lets hope it fits my 1996 tank on my 1988 frame and engine and 1998 carb...

          hahahahahah

As the petcock easily cost me 1 third of what I paid for the 2 katanas....(300$)for a 1988 and a 1996 I think katana.

It fits fine. I wouldn't tell you it does if I didn't know 100%.
