  • Spring tune up and pondering the A/F screw factory setting...

I finally decided to drill out the brass plugs and turn my A/F screws out to the forum recommended 2.5 turns. I was surprised that all the screws were not turned in the same amount. I am wondering if its to keep one pair of carbs cooler while idling...Idk any thoughts?

Definitely doesn't. Stock the bike is set up lean and will run hotter. When you turned them to 2.5 I'm willing to bet you turned every single one further out and ended up rich ending the mix. Now it'll run slightly cooler.
Mine were all over the place from .75 to 2.25. Much better set all the same
