Long story short, use a post pull cable, not the return cable.

You don't need one. He is saying to use a post cable, the longer one, instead of a pre cable.

??? Post bikes use a return cable also. I'm telling you to use just one cable not the 2 cables that post bikes use... Unless you swap to post controls, then use both.

                Ill explain.

When fully openeed a 1998+carb requires more cable lenght to fully extend.

A 1997 and less requires less cable length to open completly. So my guessing is that 1998 cables are longer to allow the throttle handle to open completly the carbs.

1988 to 1997 only have 1 pull cable no return cables..1998 and more have both but can function with only the pull cable.

So i ordered a 1998 cable to see..if its working.

Thank GSXFJim for that one. I saw him say it in the CB and I was like "yeah, that's what goes on here".

                                You see I actualy paid 300 for a 1988 kat..and a 1994 kat for parts.

I am trying to put the 1988 back together with ultra low cost while making it epic looking.

My goal is to sale some parts so I can say to people I actualy got the bike for free..My sound stupid lol..I am having fun still.
