  • Removing Cylinder Head

Good evening...I'm attempting to remove the cylinder head in the frame to have a sparkplug hole redone. I am at the stage to remove the camshafts...my question is do I have to remove the rocker arm assy to pull the head off.
    Thanks

no, taking the head off leaving the engine in the frame is a hell of a lot harder than just taking the engine out.

Oooooh yeah, 20min to drop the motor 15-20 more to pull the valve cover and head including pagging and labeling the fasteners and such, assuming you pulled the exhaust and carbs 5 min

Timesert kit will no require head removal. use grease in bit and tap to capture filings.

Thanks for the input. I will talk to the guy doing the timesert and see which method he prefers.
