  • katana clutch problem

Goodmorning everyone I have a 1990 Suzuki katana 750 well yesterday I messed up pretty bad. I was planning on replacing the clutch cable . I took the sprocket cover off to switch it out . Being my first time I had no idea how to take it off so I unbolted something that was bolted to the sprocket cover the part fell and all the little bearrings fell out and can't find any at all. What is that part called or where can I replace it. Someone please help. I have parts I can trade if anyone has a spare sprocket cover.

Its the clutch actuator, it pushes the rod in from the left side... just put the bearings back in and put it back together... OR go to the Wiki, download the manual.. it will show you how to put it back together.

Do you guys know if the pre 600 sprocket cover fits the 750?

I lost like 3 bearings lol, I did this at midnight and I have such a packed garage couldnt find them for crap unfortunately.

Im in the process of just buying a replacement but dont know if the 600 will fit the 750. I shouldnt of ever even touched the part with the bearings.

You don't need the cover, just the bearings, the local HW store may have what you need, or just the actuator itself.
Go look at the manual and it will show you how it goes together.

Yeah, I'd hit up your local Tru Value, ACE, etc. and see if they have bearings that size you can use as replacements... In the future you might try laying a canvas tarp down and doing the bike work on that if you have a 'busy' workspace, mitigates the chance of little round bits like that rolling very far. My garage doubles as a machine shop, so I know how that goes. lol
