can i the starter from a 95 600 be used on a 99?

Should be the same thing, but check the tooth count on the starter gear to confirm. All other aspects (mounting and connections) are the same for sure. If the tooth count is off, you can swap those I believe.

The 95 is a little wider in diameter. Had to on remove oil lines to have room. Tooth count is the same. After the installation, it seems that I have misdiagnosed the problem. Seems to be the solenoid. ..sigpicComment
