Can anyone point me in the right direction and tell me why my Neutral light is always on? I know it has to do with some switch but until my repair manual gets here next week, I'm stuck. Please help me find that switch cause I'm tired of always seeing that light on while I'm riding, especially at night cause that little green light is bright and annoying.

Remove the spocket cover and inspect the wire coming out of the neutral sensor. If the cover has pinched the wire it could be constantly grounding out.

The light works by use of a switch on the ground side. It always has power, the switch just grounds the power to the engine when the bike is in neutral. If the wire to the switch is pinched, it will always be on.

The sprocket cover is the most common point for that to happen.

Thanks for the info on the the neutral light fix, and thanks for that manual. I will try searching for things on the forum next time before I ask.
