Ignition

Looked at fitting an ignition advancer to the 1052 lump fitted in my gsx1100f to be told it was not possible I would need to fit the 1127 ignition, the engine is still running the 1052 pick up but the rest of the ignition is all 1127 so where lies the problem as the bike runs fine and has done for the last year maybe not the low done torque as the 1100f lump but she still likes to play above 6k on the rev counter I'm confused
