Vibrations in foot pegs

today I was riding my '01 katana 600 w/16K miles and I was feeling a very noticeable vibration in the foot pegs mostly.any ideas on what can cause this?

A Katana vibrates, that just happens. Excessive vibration is usually caused by out of sync carbs. Doing a valve adjustment as well as a carb sync is what I would recommend. If a valve adjustment was recently done, I'd say they didn't sync the carbs afterwards. And if a carb sync was done, it wasn't done correctly. I'd sync the carbs again.

I just check my oil level.sad to say that the oil level is low,low is an under statement.oil doesnt even show up in the sight glass.

check that you still have an oil pan/drain plug and work from there.
