  • will it work?

well the time has come where I need to synch my carbs.some people say vacume gauges some people say these are better. Well Im thinking about picking these up for about 35 dollars just want some opnians. plus it looks like a kat on the book in the pic .but im not positive.
Amazingly simple, yet incredibly accurate Motorcycle Carb Balancer. This incredibly simple device will synch your bikes carbs like no other balancer , with "pinpoint accuracy" for a fraction of the cost of some balancers.
Certain tradesmens tools rely on nature to help find a certain accuracy, for example a plumb line and bob will always show a true vertical line. A spirit level simply cannot lie. This carb balancer uses gravity in a similar manner to show a true centre, this is why it is so accurate.

Other balancers often costing far more usually compare the vacuum readings of the different carbs against each other and can sometimes be difficult to decipher, this carb balancer is totally different, as it compares the vacuum readings with a known truthful centre, namely "gravity."

Inside the balancer are two tiny balls, one of these balls has the sole job of telling you nature's centre via gravity, the other ball is influenced by the vacuums taken from two carbs at any one time. If the two carbs are working in harmony the two balls will align, if not the lower ball will move to one side. This ball will move to one side as the excessive vacuum from one cylinder will pull it uphill defying gravities attempt to return to the centre. Simply turn the screw on you bike's carbs to align the two balls and synch your carbs, its as easy as that!

This amazing Carb Balancer can synchronise 2,3 and 4 cylinder bikes. Start with the base cylinder and any other carb, then subsequent carbs. The base cylinder is the carb with the throttle stop/tick over screw. This carb does not have a synchronisation screw, as the throttle stop screw is its only adjustment. Repeat the process to super synch your carbs. If your carbs are badly out of synch your engine will be under terrific extra strain as your pistons are working hard against each other, and not with each other, sapping vital power and fuel. No matter how much throttle you apply the weaker working cylinder will allways lag behind, sapping the power from the harder working piston!

Synchronise your carbs to perfection on the other hand and you may notice an impressive improvement in power and performance, just look at some of the feedback given for this amazing tool under our feedback.Use the tool time and time again to keep your bike in tune . Usually you can expect a minimum of 10% saving in fuel consumption, often much more, with fuel now at around £1.30 each litre you will easily pay for the balancer in no time at all. This quality tool is neat , compact and it only weighs an amazing 100gms!. Light, small, compact and packs a punch no other carb balancer could ever possibly give for a mimimum cost. A totally amazing tool!

Harbor Freight tools are same concept as Snap On tools, just a different design.

Well, that aint it. You ever hear you get what you pay for? That applies to things like this.

Listen to arsenic on this one. I had the same conversation. And bought a cheap set. Then, when it ran like crap...I bought a real set and it showed me how badly out of balance I was after the cheap set said I was right on.

Do yourself a favor and either do it right the first time or not at all. Synching with a crappy set is equal to not synching at all, so it's not really worth any price no matter how low.

And DON'T buy vacuum gauges. If you just want to get it running, do a bench synch for free and get the same result.

                  Carb Synch

                  Hey

Yesterday I synched my 1100 Katana carbs with Motion Pro carb synch tool.
I can recomend this tool to all DIYers out there.

Follow the instructions, and it is simple.
The hardest thing to get is to reach the plug schrew at the carbs.

Testing today tell me I have bin waiting too long with this service to my bike. It runs wry much smooter than bfore..........

^ that is an awesome setup for holding the tank over the bike- definitely takes the difficulty out of rigging a fuel source for the motor when trouble-shooting.

Also, wow...those carbs were really off before.

I'm going to be picking up a Motion Pro tool this Tuesday as well (as that's all that's locally available it seems), and synch my carbs. Also, going to check my plugs, etc. as well. Looking forward to at least having a smoother idle and less vibrations! (hopefully)
