  • Just bought a bike, now for my first basic repair kit

So, I have no tools and need to do some basic check-ups and repairs to my 2000 Katana 750 (see other posts).

I'm thinking about picking this up: http://tinyurl.com/bwajf62

    A few things:
    - I know it's cheap (quality) but I have nothing apart from a few basic screwdrivers and limited funds so i'm guessing it's a good start.
    - The price looks really good and attractive

    My main question is:
    - is this more for the home and most of the tools won't work on on my Kat? I'm not mechanically inclined but having a bike come with the territory of learning some new stuff .

    Thanks,

    Alex

Well anything is better than nothing so you might use some of the tools and not others in the kit.
But the post Kats have a small tool kit near the rear light unit under the seat. see if that is still there ,this should have most of the main tools needed
    I'm outa here

Yup!! It's only a 4500 miles away so I would say: Bike Trip!!!!!!!

Jokes aside(although I wish it wasn't), it is helpful and I'll look a little bit more local. IF I can't find anything though, I've got this option! Many thanks for your Ebay-Foo!!
