1991 gsx 1100 wont start

  • 1991 gsx 1100 wont start

    so the bike has been sitting for 7 years and was wrecked now I have worked out most of the bugs but I can get the thing to fire up i pulled and cleaned the carbs after they decided to dump gas all over the place they are on and seem to be ok now so i am down to spark so so I think and pointers or other tricks for these bikes?

    Will it do anything with starter fluid?

      No and I tried that i pulled a plug i didnt see spark after grounding it out

        Check to make sure your getting 12v to the coils and check the coils for proper working. You should prob check all your plug wires and plug boots as well as all your grounds. Might even be something stupid like the fuse is blown or a bad connection of some sort.

        I hope your trying to start the bike with the air
        Filter box on and all that jazz.

          You should probably go through and clean all the electrical contacts on the bike. Don't forget the handlebar switches and the fuses. This may solve the problem, or you may find something else wrong while doing this.

            ill give that a shot the bike was a wiring mess so there might be something that i have overlooked
