  • and now a carb question...

I just noticed that on the right center carb someone has broken off the vacuum port with the rubber cap that sticks straight up from the edge of the cover on top of the carb. I was wondering if I can replace the cover from the top without removing the carbs? Or... will it be impossible to get all the parts back in and lined up from the top while replacing the cover?

    Thanks for your help.

Very Easy, just watch that you don't loose the donut seal underneath that vacum port, and that the spring doesn't shoot out (i highly doubt that would happen, but you never know!!!!)

Yeah , watch out for that o-ring . It likes to get stuck to the cap as you're taking it off , then fall off onto the engine somewhere where you'll never find it again . I actually found one there from 2 years ago .
