  • question about Fuel filter

anyone using a after mark fuel filter ? for a 2005 katana 600c

I refuse to pay $14 + $9 shipping for the OEM filter , so any luck with an after-mark ?

You referring to an aftermarket inline filter or in tank filter? The post kats come with inline filters factory correct? Thats what i would use, cant go wrong that way.

just get the oem one...the suzuki part number is 15410-19E10. I think K&N makes one for our bikes, but I doubt you're going to see any price improvement.....the one you saw on ebay is used on fuel injected outboard motors.....we have gravity feed, and that one might not work....

also, if you're still at camp pendleton, there are quite a few suzuki dealers within a 20 mile drive from you. You can pick it up if you don't want to get screwed on shipping....

my question is , do you really need to change the fuel filter? have you looked at it ?
It is just a strainer with kind of big holes. you will never clog it unless you have a major rust incident in your gastank.

if you take a look at the filter and there is no debri in it , just leave it. if you have debri in it you need to take a look at your gastank. and when the gastank is fixed you can just blow the debri out of the filter and use it again.
