  • What spark plugs do i need ??

    Hi everyone.
    Been cleaning the carbs out on my 1989 gsx400f. Cant get it started yet just keeps running the battery down so im giving it a good charge.(bikes not run in over a year)
    Went to check the plugs and i have 2x CR9EK and 2x CR8EK fitted.

    Anyone know what plugs should be fitted ????

    Standard Copper Core - Stock No

    DR8ES-L -2923

    Platinum / Gold Palladium - Stock No

    DR8EVX - 6354

    Iridium - Stock No

    DR8EIX - 6681



    Gap - 0.7mm




    I would not suggest any other plug than NGKs... fyi.

      If he has "C" series spark plugs in now, "D" series plugs won't fit at all. "C" series and "D" series plugs have a different diameter. That's what that letter signifies.

        Looks like the D was for the older oil cooled versions.

        So... Most likely it's the CR8s...
