Fuel delivery issue

Last night I rode my Kay for the first time in about 2 months and it had no top end it would bog down at wot . The fuel was fresh but my gas cap does not seal the hinge pin is missing so I was wondering if that not sealing is causing the vacuum to be thrown off ant supplying enough fuel

I'm not positive for post kats but pre petcock has a vacuum line to it and that wouldn't be affected by a non sealing cap.
It sounds more like a carb issue, hit it with some starter fluid to eliminate a vacuum leak an then I would strip the carbs. Did you put any additive in your fuel before parking it. And also since your cap doesn't seal how was it stored? Could have taken in moisture or dust an crap (like the scientific words?) Lol
