white(ithink) smoke coming out of muffler at idle. it goes away when i give it gas but comes back instantly when it hits idle. am i running to rich?

Not if it's white your not rich.
    white smoke = water/condensation
    blue smoke = oil
    black smoke = fuel

It's pretty hard to say with any degree of certainty. From that video I would agree it's white.

Its rainy and 70 out. is it just condenstation building up in the muffler/headers from not riding it for a day?

.. or does it have to do with the engine?

Hard to say, but if it's just condensation. It should burn off in a few minutes a go back to normal.

I got a similar issue with white smoke out of my 1990 kat 600. It was running great about a week ago and stored outside with covers for a snow storm. tried to start it today and white smoke coming out of the exhaust and running differently. I just had the carbs rebuilt 600 miles ago and full tune up. I pulled the carbs bc it was leaking gas on my starter now and put the FP stage 1 kit I had setup for spring in. Still running the same, rough, won't idle above 1000-1100rpms and exhaust one is different.

If it's oil smoke It will have an oil smell. Put your hand in front of the muffler see if it gets wet= condensation
