  • iridium spark plugs?

Has anybody used iridium spark plugs in a 1989 GSX600F with the stock CDI / ECM and or Dyna Coils? Any problems or all good? I don't believe I've seen a particular iridium plug listed for the '89.

I tried the search 1st but, it didn't turn up any answers.

    Thanks,

    xrrevin

Waste of money unless your trips are less than 5 minutes long.
90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

I run them. I like them. Better starts. Should last considerably longer. And they were actually cheaper off fleabay than stock plugs here.

This is for a '92 750 - not sure about an '89 600. If standard is a JR9C, here's your plug. (Dual ground electrodes are a wank.)

        PRE KAT:

        STANDARD – JR9C
        Multi-Ground Plug, 12mm Thread Size, 19mm (3/4") Reach, 11/16" (18mm) HexSize, Gasket Seat,Resistor, Projected Tip, Stud TerminalThreads, Dual Ground Electrodes, .028" (0.7mm) Gap,Heat Range 9.

        IRIDIUM – DR9EIX
Iridium IX Plug, 12mm Thread Size, 19mm (3/4") Reach, 11/16" (18mm) HexSize, Gasket Seat,Resistor, Projected Tip, Stud TerminalThreads, Fine Wire(0.6mm) IridiumCenter Electrode,Tapered Cut Ground Electrode, .031" (0.8mm) Gap, Heat Range 9.
