Quick gas tank quesstion

i am taking the tank off the bike and am wondering since there is no off position for the fuel, do i need to drain all the gas before removing it, or how do i go about doing this?

You do not need to drain the gas, just leave the petcock in the on position and
you will be fine.
Remember where your lines go or label them so you put them back in the right places

you will should be fine provided your petcock hasn't given up the ghost. If fuel continues coming out with the petcock set to ON then you need to rebuild it.
