Vaccum leak question

So i have a 1995 750 kat, right now it idle's at 2000k when warm and is going through a full tank of gas in about 100 miles. i found at least one vacuum around the carb boots connecting to the air box, could a leak cause this bad of gas mpg's and the high idle?

Air/vacuum leak can cause a hanging idle, but now that type of gas mileage drop. You have a problem with your floats/float needles.
