air filter cleaning question

Hey guys and gals quick question can i clean my air filterout with soap and water if its not a reusable one or would that just ruin it?

They are paper. Not washable. Buy a new one.

I think the manual says you can blow out the dirt with compressed air, from inside of the filter. I have a portable vacuum cleaner (Orick) that I have used to suck out crap from the outside of the filter.

get a new one, they get clogged and a vacume cleaner wont get it clean enough. you end up getting too much resistance and bike doesnt get enough air and will loose power

Yeah i figured it would just be Best to fork up the money for a New one. Thanks for all your input

Keep a check on ebay. I picked a new oem up for $10 shipped. Too bad he only had the one.
