  • choke cable maybe?

My choke cable is stiff, and after the bike warms up (street riding an hour or so) it begins to idle high (3 grand) I can mess with the choke and it fluctuate, but after the bike sits for half an hour, crank it and its fine.

Generally speaking an idle creaping up when warm = lean pilot circuit (dirty or settings) or vacuum/air leaks causing the circuit to lean out.

You can always just disconnect the choke cable from the carbs to make sure it's not causing an issue.
