  • steering bearings racers

Hi all. I 'm replaceing my steering bearings with new racers. however the bottom racer does not appear to be the same, it looks more like its built into the headstock. I'm very confused over this its a 95 katana, there is hardly any lip to tap on with a drift and looks cone shaped, anyone have a suggestion, I would be gratefull. Thanks

I have been reading up on internet, and suspect it was originally roller bearings and not tapered bearing, would this be correct anyone. if so how do I change it to tapered bearing?

You knock out the old and purchase/instal the new. Regardless the type of bearing, a removable seat for that type was installed. So you just put in the one you need.

cut it out if you have to. use a dremal tool to slice the bearing and it will split and fall out.

Racers is a really dirty strip joint down by the KY speedway...

Stay away from it, thats my only comment.
