Does anyone seem to know what this problem is? 2001 Katana 600

My Katana has been sitting for a few Months and now it seems that where this red circle is, it is dripping a little bit of oil. Does anyone know what the problem could be?


I am fearing a cracked engine block but i hope that's not that case here...

first off are you certain it is dripping from that location?

Second, if so, has the bike been dropped, do you see any cracks on that plate?

Btw, that plate covers your signal generator, for 50 bucks you can replace that plate, its not a big deal.

Lastly, if the plate is not cracked and your sure its coming from that location that you might just need a new gasket which will run you like 5 bucks, not bad at all.

That's a 5 dollar gasket. I just did mine due to a valve adjustment. Check to be sure the bolts haven't loosened up also.
