  • Survey says... I have a gskr 750 motor

According to the wiki my 90 Kat has a gsxr motor... The motor was bad so I swaped it for a newer one... Does anyone know if there is anything worth keeping off this one

What was wrong with the old engine?
The kats engines are all old gsxrs engines tuned down.

I'm guessing you meant GSXR and not GSKR? Looking at the keyboard, the X is no where near the K. How'd you screw that one up?

The head might be worth keeping if that's not what went south on you.

No they aren't they are 88-89 GSXR 750 engines with different cams. Which I'm assuming you meant by "tuned down". The 1990 GSXR 750, however, is completely different in the engine world. It's a long stroke (48.7mm). The 88-89 GSXR 750 and 89-97 Katana 750's are short stroke (44.7mm) with a 73mm bore. So 748cm2. The 90-92 GSXR 750 is a long stroke (48.7mm) with a 70mm bore. So, 749cm2.
