  • 92 gsx600 engine dies at idle

on a 92 katana 600, the engine dies at idle or if i hold the clutch in to coast, but will run fine if i play with the throttle. i tried a fuel system cleaner and it didnt help. the only mods are a vance and hines ehaust and the carb is of course jetted. just wondering if anybody had this problem before with their bike and what they did to fix it. I was thinkin the carbs need to be cleaned and resyncd

My bike would die sometimes at stop lights or after I got off of the highway. I took off the fairings and started messing with stuff saw that 2 of my fuel lines were kind bent closed so I operated on them now it runs fine.

could also be a stuck-open float valve in one of the carbs, causing one cylinder to run too rich, making the engine want to die.
