      96-97 600's use NGK CR9EK
      750's use JR9C
You know what has a definite answer? THE MANUAL.

The 97's aren't all the same. Suzuki did some weird stuff. Cyber wrote in the wiki that you should manually inspect the plugs in a 97 to ensure you order the correct ones.

I know they aren't the same. That's why I posted what 96-97 are. They are different from 88-95.

My 97 600 had DR8ES from the factory in it.

                That's what the 88-95 are.
                The 88-95 are 12mm threads, hence "D"
                The 96-06 are 10mm threads, hence "C"

I'm saying, that not all 1996 or 1997's use the same plugs.

Yes they do. Not all 1997 600 that you owned had a 96-97 cylinder head.

do all CR9ek plugs have the 2 prongs at the bottom? what color should the spark be? bright or dim?

yes, two prongs. Spark should be blue, not orange. Dim is hard to say as the engines are painted and make a really crappy ground, so brightness can vary. Blue is good, orange is bad.

Rebuilt my carbs, was so happy cuz i figured when i put them back on it would jus start right up, OF COURSE thats never the case, found out i have CR8EK plugs in the kat so im gonna have to get CR9EK and probable going to buy new plug wires and the lil black boxes the wires are attached to.

What are those black boxes called?
How long should i put my bike on prime after i install the carbs?
