Speedo not working

Hello, I have a 03 Katana 750, and my speedometer is not working, I have put a new sensor in at the front sprocket. What else goes wrong in the system? The sensor was the most common problem to my knowledge. Any body else have this problem or know what else to check, the gauge itself? Any help is great. Thanks

very simple system, sensor at wheel spins cable, cable spins speedo.
i would take the cable off the pickup at the wheel and stick it in a drill and see if the cable on the other side spins, if it does then stick it in the speedo. if it still doesn't work then your speedo is broken.
