Why not mailorder? I have a few a shops nearby that sell bike oil, but I can get oil cheaper via internet. Oil is not something you "suddenly " need, you know when you are due, so plan it out.
I got ten qts of Maxima Ultra 5-40 for around $100, Some went into my C14, most went into the corner of my garage.

I use Royal Purple Maxcycle . got it at NAPA, had to order it the first time and then they started stocking it after that. just a thought.
