  • Carbs leaking

So for the past few days, it's sounded like my bike has been firing on 2 cylinders, almost sounds like an SV. When i got on it, it'd smooth out but was lacking a good amount of power. Today on the way to work it was dying on me, stalling out, sputtering bad, and running like crap! So i inspected it while it was idling, and i noticed that the plastic T connecter that supply's fuel to carb 1 and 2 was leaking bad. I've done some reading and just as i thought, theres a rubber O ring that sits on the T inside the carb there.
I pulled off the carbs, went to take off the connector bracket, and of course all the screw heads wont budge and they're gunna get rounded out if i try too hard. Im gunna go get some easy outs tomorrow to get em out and pull the carbs appart, then replace the O rings. Hopefully this fixes my problem!! =D If anyone has anything to add, im all ears!!

Forget the easy outs and get a good pair of vice grips, replace with allen head screws.

That's the best fix but you can also break those screws free using an impact driver. (The kind you hit with a hammer.)

i got em out today with an impact driver, didnt even think of it yesterday and i have one. I always forget i have it hahaha. But anyways, its all appart now and i got the tubular O rings off the T that were leaking. They seem to look fine, but im going to replace them and see if it fixes the problem. The only problem is, i cant find the part ANYWHERE!

got the seals from a dealer nearby. Put em in and the carbs arent leaking anymore. But its running crappy still. I'm pretty sure its getting too much fuel.

check your float needles, float heights, float movements.
