yea i see the whole assembly move .. the sync screws and bell cam turn up .... just seems when i turn it over i have to immediately turn the throttle all the way to keep it runnin

Sounds like you're just not getting fuel through the idle circuit; instead, you're relying on opening the mains via the throttle. Other possibility, I suppose is that you're getting way too much fuel and need to open the butterflies to lean the mixture back out to something burnable.

pilot screws are 2 to 2 1/2 out ....where do i go from here

i belive the original problem was that the choke linkage was holding one of the plungers out causing it to rise ... i think the original owner did it as opposed to cleaning the carbs ?????? anyway
