Hello Fellow Kat Riders im new to the motorcycle game but because of this site and all you guys i have been succesful at repainting and cleaning my bike. Now for the problem I have a 03 Kat 600 when i crank the bike it idles at about 1000 RPMs. after about 5 seconds if i dont give it a little throttle it will shut off. Also i took it for a ride the other day and the bike ran great with the exception that it cut off when i shifted down and stopped at a red light. I have searched numerous threads couldnt find the exact same problem. Any help would be great thanks.

dirty pilot circuit, carbs need to be cleaned. -
thanks i will look into that and let you know if that was the prob.

Turns out my return throttle wire was broke and it was letting my throttle go all the way up so it wasnt getting anygas when i was idling. fixed but thanks for the inputComment
