I tried to explain this to Marc (cyber) several years ago.
when I was fairly new to Amsoil and synthetics I did all my own lab testing through a company called Coklin as well as Amsoil. you cant even compare the products made by the big companies to the lil guys like Redline, Amsoil, etc. And dont even get me started on most of the additives people use like Lucas and what they contain and do.
Amsoil stocks are bought from Exxon/Mobil.
With only a handful of TRUE group IV-V synthetics most people are deing ripped off when it comes to buying oil, and not getting nearly the protection they think they are. The group Iv-V oils cost a lot more to produce and cost more to buy. Oil like Rottela oil is dirt cheap to buy because its a cheap oil and one of the lowestquality group III oils on the market.Last edited by hardlydangerous; 01-19-2011, 10:50 AM.98 GSX750F
