redline?

stupid questions?
I have an '02 750. The gauge indicates a redline at 11,500. Went to the drag strip and hit the rev limiter at 10,500.
1. Is the limiter set correctly (ie per Suzuki) at 10.500
2. I have heard of tachs being off,,,could this be?
3. Theoretically the top speed would be 136.5 (@ 10,500 w/ Speed Healer, Speedo Healer calibrated checked by GPS), this doesn't seem to agree with some posts I have seen...Opinions? What is the 'real' top speed of a Katana?

Mine tachs out at 11,500.
is it possible somone changed the ignition box?

thats the only thing I know of that would alter the rev limiter

I used to have a 89 750 and it redlined at 13,500 not sure about the newer ones though. its all in the cdi

My 05 750 goes soft at 11,400:bunny2
