Pre Switch assembly to post Switch assembly

I want to put the post handlebar switch assemblies on my pre. What will it take to do it? Also was wondering if the wire harness would work?

Just make sure you have both wiring diagrams. I did the post98 switches on mreedohio's pre600. There will be a couple of wires you won't use. I also made it so the pre coupler/connector was used for ease to connect to existing on the main harness. It basically is all about color codes

It was pretty straight forward...you'l need to go to radio shack and get a new male and female connector for each side. Then, it's basically just go back remove the old controls and connectors on the new controls and strip and install all the wires on the bike side and control side into the appropirate pin locations using the old controls and connectors as a guide.

Same number of wires, just use the same pin placement. If I remeber right there was like 1 or 2 wire that were different colors but not hard to figure out. Pretty simple mod actually and it makes the bike look 10 years newer.
