  • bike wont stay running

I am starting to lose my patience now. I have cleaned my carbs twice now, got them pretty close to synced and everything i can think of. i cant start the bike even when it is warm in the normal position. and when i fully engage the clutch, it will start and then slowly go down and die. what should i check next!!

The pilots are dirty. I'd look to taking them totally apart and dipping them.

Are you saying that as long as you keep it in neutral the bike will run? Or do you mean once you get it started, it will run for a little bit and slowly sputter out and die?

When it does start can you blip the throttle and will it rev up?

ok, i am an idiot! i had just put my tank on a stand next to my bike so i could work on it. then when it came to sync, i disconnected the vacuumfrom the end carb and did my work. forgot that my gas tank requires the vacuum in the normal setting to let fuel pass through the petcock. geez, sometimes i worry myself.

          thanks for the advice.
