Fuel Filter Backwards?

Wow.. i was just doing a little maintenance on my Motorcycle. last time i had it in the shop for service they replaced my fuel filter... a year later (today) i decided to adjust my carbs and clean my K&N air filter. i looked down at my fuel filter and im pretty sure it was on backwards.... it has an arrow on the side of it... the arrow was pointing towards the tank... it should be the other way correct?


and dont hate on the K&N it works great for me.

I have always lived by the arrow points towards the flow of the fuel.

yeah i switched it around... seems to run much smoother now and way snappier throttle response. though that could be due to the cleaned air filter and carbs.

i think the only difference either way would be the size of the reservoir. turning the filter around may have allowed collected debris to go to carbs.
