Will it run right if at all with the 15mm float height factory pro recommends with the stock needles, jets, etc? I haven't gotten the kit yet and I'm just trying to get it to idle the carbs needed to be cleaned and synced.

If you have a Pre kat, then the factory setting for the floats is 14.7mm +- 1mm. 15mm is with in that spec.
If the carbs need cleaned, and you have not done that yet.... trying to get it to idle is not the best application of your time atm.
