    whats the take on spark plugs.. OEM calls for NGK but i've heard you can use champion also. others say champion cant hold up to the heat and the electrode can actually break off and destroy your combustion chamber

    i have some iridiums in i like!

      Hadn't heard that (about the Champions), but you can get the NGKs at Advance Auto Parts for 5-7 dollars, depending upon your region, so IMHO might as well go with what is called for.

        yea id reccommend the ngk's, theyre definetly worth the few extra $

          Champion plug insulators are 3 piece and poor quality at that...
          NGK uses a 1 piece insulator that greatly resists cracking, erosion and fouling.
          NGK plugs are also all indexed correctly where champion plugs are not.

          Use what the engine was designed to use.
          NGK iridiums are your best bet

              ND or NGK get my vote. Iridium's are the way to go.

                I've had an Autolite break off while running hard (fortunately, didn't damage anything that I know of), so I stick with NGK

                  Champion plugs have never ran good with any Japanese engines I have owned, JUNK
